JETHRO TULL - TAPAS DE SUS DISCOS

TOO OLD FOR ROCK N' ROLL, TOO YOUNG TO DIE

The old Rocker wore his hair too long,
wore his trouser cuffs too tight.
Unfashionable to the end drank his ale too light.
Death's head belt buckle yesterday's dreams
the transport cafe prophet of doom.
Ringing no change in his double-sewn seams
in his post-war-babe gloom.
Now he's too old to Rock'n'Roll but he's too young to die.

He once owned a Harley Davidson and a Triumph Bonneville.
Counted his friends in burned-out spark plugs
and prays that he always will.
But he's the last of the blue blood greaser boys
all of his mates are doing time:
married with three kids up by the ring road
sold their souls straight down the line.

And some of them own little sports cars
and meet at the tennis club do's.
For drinks on a Sunday work on Monday.
They've thrown away their blue suede shoes.

Now they're too old to Rock'n'Roll and they're too young to die.

So the old Rocker gets out his bike
to make a ton before he takes his leave.
Up on the A1 by Scotch Corner
just like it used to be.
And as he flies tears in his eyes
his wind-whipped words echo the final take
and he hits the trunk road doing around 120
with no room left to brake.

And he was too old to Rock'n'Roll but he was too young to die.

No, you're never too old to Rock'n'Roll if you're too young to die.

Discos como "Warchild", "Too Old to Rock and Roll: Too Young to Die", "Mistrel in the Gallery", "Songs from the Wood" y "Heavy Horses" le abrieron la puerta al estilo musical del grupo en lugares tan disímiles como Buenos Aires o Budapest.

SEAN BIENVENIDOS. ESTE ES UN ESPACIO PARA RECORRER Y DISFRUTAR. ENCONTRARÁN VIDEOS YA CONOCIDOS EN LA RED Y PROPIOS. TAMBIÉN TAPAS DE DISCOS, LETRAS, BIOGRAFÍAS  E INCLUSO, REVISTAS QUE HICIERON HISTORIA Y NOS ACOMPAÑARON EN ESTE VIAJE. NO ES ESTE UN SITIO DE DESCARGAS. NO ENCONTRARÁN LINKS A SERVIDORES PARA BAJAR NADA. NO ES EL PROPÓSITO.  IGUALMENTE,. TODOS LOS QUE TENGAN UNA COMPUTADORA MEDIANAMENTE MODERNA, PODRÁN BAJARSE LAS FOTOS Y LOS VIDEOS POSTEADOS EN EL SITIO. PARA ESO ESTÁN.
TAMPOCO ES ESTE UN MERO EJERCICIO DE LA NOSTALGIA LLEVADO A CABO POR CINCUENTONES QUE AÑORAN SU ADOLESCENCIA. NO ES INTENCIÓN MIRAR EL FUTURO CON LA NUCA NI ACTUAR COMO NUESTROS ABUELOS, CUANDO SE "PONÍAN LOCOS" CON LA VITROLA.
ES SIMPLEMENTE MOSTRARLE A QUIEN LE INTERESE, EL PORQUÉ DE NUESTRO IDEARIO Y NUESTRA VISIÓN DEL MUNDO, EXHIBIR ORGULLOSOS, EL RIQUÍSIMO MATERIAL QUE NUTRIÓ NUESTRA VIDA Y NOS MOLDEO LLEVÁNDONOS A SER LO QUE HOY SOMOS.
NO ES VIVIR DEL RECUERDO. ES PRESENTAR LOS PILARES QUE EXPLICAN NUESTRA CREATIVIDAD DE HOY Y LAS MARAVILLAS QUE SI EL SUPREMO (O AQUELLO EN LO QUE UDS. CREAN) NOS PERMITE, HAREMOS MAÑANA. ES NUESTRO ADN Y NUESTRO DOCUMENTO DE IDENTIDAD.
TAN SIMPLE COMO ESO. SÉ QUE LA RED ESTÁ REPLETA DE BLOGS MUCHO MEJORES Y MÁS INTERESANTES QUE ESTE. QUE HAY CIERTO FASTIDIO Y AGOTAMIENTO POR EL TEMA. POR ESA RAZÓN, LAS PRESENTACIONES SON EN UN 90 % VISUALES Y LA DATA, MUY ACOTADA. CASI TODOS SABEMOS DE QUE SE TRATA Y NO TIENE SENTIDO AHONDAR EN PEQUEÑECES. Y PARA LOS QUE POR RAZONES DE EDAD NO SEPAN, PUES COMIENCEN POR AQUÍ Y LUEGO DESPIERTEN EL ESPÍRITU INQUIETO (COMO LO HICIMOS NOSOTROS EN SU MOMENTO)  PARA ENCONTRAR LA CLAVE DE LO QUE FUE, ES Y SERÁ.
ABRAZO PARA TODOS. QUE LO DISFRUTEN.

 LIGHT MY FIRE - LETRA

You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn't get much higher

Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire

The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre

Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire, yeah

The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre

Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire

You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn't get much higher

Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire

Try to set the night on fire
Try to set the night on fire
Try to set the night on fire.

THE END  - LETRA

This is the end, beautiful friend
This is the end, my only friend
The end of our elaborate plans
The end of everything that stands
The end

No safety or surprise
The end
I'll never look into your eyes again

Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need of some stranger's hand
In a desperate land

Lost in a Roman wilderness of pain
And all the children are insane
All the children are insane
Waiting for the summer rain
There's danger on the edge of town
Ride the King's highway
Weird scenes inside the gold mine
Ride the highway West, baby

Ride the snake
Ride the snake
To the lake
To the lake

The ancient lake, baby
The snake is long
Seven miles
Ride the snake

He's old
And his skin is cold
The West is the best
The West is the best
Get here and we'll do the rest

The blue bus is calling us
The blue bus is calling us
Driver, where are you taking us?

The killer awoke before dawn
He put his boots on
He took a face from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the hall

He went into the room where his sister lived
And then he paid a visit to his brother
And then he walked on down the hall
And he came to a door
And he looked inside
Father
Yes son?
I want to kill you
Mother, I want to. . .

C'mon baby, take a chance with us
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
And meet me at the back of the blue bus

This is the end, beautiful friend
This is the end, my only friend
The end

It hurts to set you free
But you'll never follow me

The end of laughter and soft lies
The end of nights we tried to die
This is the end.

RIDERS ON THE STORM - LETRA

Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown
Like a dog without a bone
An actor out alone
Riders on the storm

There's a killer on the road
His brain is squirmin' like a toad
Take a long holiday
Let your children play
If ya give this man a ride
Sweet memory will die
Killer on the road, yeah

Girl ya gotta love your man
Girl ya gotta love your man
Take him by the hand
Make him understand
The world on you depends
Our life will never end
Gotta love your man, yeah

Wow!

Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown
Like a dog without a bone
An actor out alone
Riders on the storm

Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm.

THE DOORS - BIOGRAFÍA

En 1968 sacan 'Waiting For The Sun'.
